How do you define your sleep…like a jewel or a thief?
You see, sleep is when you put yourself in the “shop” to heal[1]. And heal means in sleep that you do certain things to repair your body: to brighten, strengthen and power you up, your cells, molecules, and your DNA within you. Sleep is the leader in wellness (think of it as your captain in wellness) directing you, your cells, every molecule within, and DNA to express or ‘talk’ wellness. And Yes! Our cells talk!
Herein lies the challenge: Great sleep is rarely found. Yes, RARELY found. So many say sleep is a thief – stealing wellness, supplanting illness. Tired, fatigued, can’t think, performance decreases, muscles tire quicker, digestive issues start, feels like you are walking through thick mud, just picking your feet up is exhausting, driving is more difficult, falling asleep at meetings or in class, then at the wheel or a stop sign. You start having sugar crashes, and mood swings as insulin and glucose molecules go off-kilter. Pain starts increasing in certain muscles. You begin experiencing word dropping and having difficulty expressing yourself. Your family friends and others start to notice and maybe even talk with you about this. And life goes downhill as your sleep gets worser. Yes, worser!. (Note: we make up words to help you stand up and take notice). And your awake time also gets worse … Illness creeps in and then slowly one diagnosis is added to your medical chart and then another and another. Great sleep is required to reverse and unwind this pattern.
Here is the first sleep equation[2]:
Notice: this equation took the “WE” out and added an “I”. Sleep is a “We-Thing”, a social challenge and we need to address it as such. Look at sleep as a behavioral model of the social push to perform, out-perform, be busy, or hold two jobs while going to school as acceptable behavior. We have to address the sleep problem as a social network crisis[4] and as an individual as part of that social network.
And I am looking for people who want to put the “we” back into WELLNESS … who want to sleep great again and experience the healing benefits of putting your body in the “shop.” People who are the leader of their pack, who can create the change we need and live into it. Be strong, bold, powerful, ageless. You can’t do this alone. You. need support and a team. And we are here for you.
This is a journey, an adventure. And I have coached thousands of folks who knew they could never take up this challenge. But, oh what a wonderful journey they had!
Be strong, bold, powerful, ageless.
And this is how we coach it: with motivation and inspiration which unwinds the:” T ”-STOPPING the journey of Can’t, Don’t, Won’t at the DNA level … it unwinds what stops us within. After my years of clinical research, I can visually “see” the I Can’t, I Don’t, I Won’t in my clients within overall performance markers and data[5]:
Motivation and inspiration are powerful unwinders and release something called Hope as those T’-barriers are unwound to re-created to CAN, DO, WON![6]
So if great sleep is a jewel: bright shining, deeply hunted treasure. And great sleep’s the secret to powerful wellness. Why do so few find it???
